QUALITY DRIVEN

Dialysis Corporation of America has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to quality renal care. Our goal is to maintain a leadership position as a quality provider in the dialysis industry.

Caring for dialysis patients requires a multi-disciplinary team focused on each individual patient's care. At DCA, nephrologists, nurses, patient care technicians, social workers and dietitians work together to support a level of service that ensures quality and continuity of patient care.

DCA protocols incorporate standards of quality care that include corporate benchmarking of key indicators in the areas of dialysis adequacy, anemia management, nutrition and infection rates. Supporting these resources are specialists in biomedical equipment and staff education.

At Dialysis Corporation of America, we deliver the right processes, people, tools and training that consistent quality renal care demands.

Continuous Quality Improvement

Our physician partners stand at the center of the Dialysis Corporation of America Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program.

CQI is facilitated at each DCA center by a dedicated clinical team. The CQI program exemplifies DCA's total commitment to enhancing the quality of patient care. We devote all needed resources to achieve exceptional clinical goals.

DCA recognizes that existing standards of care set by various government and industry organizations often represent minimum levels necessary to provide acceptable care. To achieve excellent levels of care, DCA has raised the bar on its own practice guidelines and outcomes expectations for dialysis adequacy, treatment of anemia, nutrition, infection control and other quality indicators. DCA benchmarks each center's quality indicators against all other DCA centers to ensure consistency in the delivery of care throughout its network.

DCA's comprehensive CQI program is an effective tool to ensure that immediate and long-term clinical quality and operational goals will be achieved. Most important is meeting our goal to provide superior quality care to the patients depending on us. To that end, we have strong programs to ensure ongoing excellence in maintaining and improving quality standards:

  • Policies and procedures to meet and exceed HCFA regulations, and annual mock inspections ensure ongoing process improvement and compliance
  • In-service education programs to maintain a well-trained staff, to increase job satisfaction and decrease turnover rates
  • Team-training program to ensure that patients experience a smooth transition to DCA center-based treatment
  • Comprehensive water treatment and reuse system programs to maintain patient safety and cost efficiency
  • Dialysis machine maintenance completed by our own biomedical technicians to adhere to the highest operating standards

DCA demonstrates an unwavering commitment to quality, multidisciplinary renal care.
